Realtor gallows in Canada

A broker gallows is an advertising medium with which brokers advertise real estate or their brokerage office. The brokerage booms are usually placed directly next to the property to be advertised.

Layout and function

A brokerage boom consists of a vertical beam anchored in the ground to which a horizontal beam is attached. The realtor's advertising sign hangs on this, so that the appearance of the entire advertising medium resembles that of a gallows . Brokerage booms are preferred on busy paths and streets in order to reach a wide audience.

In 2012, the real estate gallows came into the focus of advertising criticism when a municipality in Lower Saxony banned the placement of advertising media. The real estate association IVD described this ban as a "curiosity". In general, the setting up of real estate boom in Germany depends on various factors, such as whether they are placed in public spaces or on private property; The respective advertising statutes and the development plan of the respective city or municipality must also be taken into account.
