The Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA) is the state organization of Malaysia for the national promotion of the manufacturing industry and the service sector . Until 2011, the authority was called the Malaysian Industrial Development Authority . Meanwhile, MIDA also operates 24 agencies outside of the country, as well as 12 additional branches in the various states of Malaysia.
