Intro

Malcolm and Reese always outdo each other at the refrigerator when they eat or drink expired food. In the end, Malcolm says this is one of their games that no one can win.

Main plot
Since Francis until a week after Halloween can come home because he had to stay in the military academy, he will duly nachfeiern with his brothers, as they celebrated not a very good hard and barely took pranks. Together, the brothers build a giant slingshot with which they want to bully the residents of the neighborhood with self-made stink bombs. After dropping the bombs on their neighbors for a whole evening, some of Malcolm's classmates who are meeting become aware of them and also drop them with bombs. Because their slingshot is stronger than theirs, Malcolm and his brothers are defeated by a huge margin.

Meanwhile, Hal feels completely bothered by a traffic hooligan as he drives through the family street at unusually high speeds. Therefore Hal now wants to confront him and convene his neighborhood, which is not a success, because they see Hal and his family as a much bigger problem. After staying up all night to catch the traffic hooligan, he builds a speed bump out of cement, but it doesn't stop him either. When Lois catches the offender throwing garbage on the street, she gets mad at him too. Together, the two of them follow him to his home and steal his car, which they drive far out of town. During the trip, they let their love rekindle, although at first they even think about emigrating to Mexico alone; But when they think about their car theft again, they forget about it and push the car into a lake.

Intro

While the three brothers are on their way to a house together, Malcolm tells the audience some of the reasons why weekends are great; the best, however, is his neighbor. Shortly in front of the house they put on Halloween disguises and ring the doorbell, whereupon their neighbor gives them sweets. When the door closes again, they change their clothes again and after ringing the doorbell they claim that they have shoveled their way, whereupon she wants to get her wallet.

Main story
In order to get a good birthday present from her sons, she gives them 10 dollars each and goes with them to their place of work, the Lucky Aide supermarket , where they are asked to choose a suitable present. However, this process ends with the fact that they buy completely unusable items for Lois, which together cost eight dollars, and get themselves candy for 20 dollars. After this incident, Lois is depressed by the bad morals of her children and tells her husband Hal about it. He wants to sniff at his sons at first, but reveals himself that he has forgotten Lois' birthday. When Craig rings the doorbell and Lois wants to hand over his present for her, Lois is all too much, which is why she angrily leaves the house and drives away in the family car. Shortly afterwards, Francis comes home with his new African friend Amaani and grumbles at his brothers for what they did.
After Francis and his girlfriend drive on again shortly afterwards to visit Francis' friend Richie, they discover Lois by chance at baseball games in a training cage and notify the rest of the family. Together they want to surprise Lois, but Lois sets conditions before they can go home. However, Hal empathetically explains that the only thing they can offer her is merciless submission. When a local clown insults Lois seconds later, everything degenerates into a fight between the family and other clowns. Lois stands right by and watches how her boys and her husband stand up for her.

Main plot
Together with the Kenarbans the family wants to eat in a civilized restaurant to them closer to meeting you. Malcolm and Reese have been playing a game where they hit each other for several days. While the adults sit together alone, at some point Hal and Abe get up from the table and move away from their wives to the bar of the restaurant, where they get drunk and have fun during the evening. Meanwhile, Kitty and Lois get to know each other better. Lois realizes that she prefers to avoid any confrontations instead of facing them. Lois explains to her in the following years that she has to change. Meanwhile, Stevie also wants to play Malcolm and Reese's game, but finds that Reese is very good at it. After he leaves the table completely dejected and ends the game, Reese tries to apologize to him, but is beaten up by Stevie. When his mother Kitty notices this, she first grumbles at her son and then at her husband and gives them her opinion.

At the same time, Commander Spangler is allegedly being visited by his mother at the military academy (which is not shown, however) and does not want to have any stress with his cadets for a weekend. Francis, meanwhile, wants to throw a party at the academy. So he and his friends invite neighboring girls and organize the party with them. But this degenerates into a chaos that neither Francis nor his comrades can end. To end the hustle and bustle, the cadets finally turn to their commanding officer, Spangler. When he enters the academy room where the girls were celebrating, they are long gone, but the room is devastated.

When Lois later learns that Hal has done something, he offers her to look after the children all day, which Lois cannot refuse. Later in the casino, Lois redeems a coupon for the wheel of fortune and wins a wellness offer for two people. But since her husband is not there and she accidentally discovers Dewey, who has stayed there, the two now take advantage of the offer and have a lot of fun.

One after the other, they must escape multiple ignitions on the site and get to safety. In the end, however, they are caught and interrogated by a member of the military, but in the end they are released.

Although the family thinks Francis is in the military academy, Francis skips school and spends his weekend at his parents' house. While there, Craig enters the house with his key. After they meet in shock, they mutually agree not to tell anyone about it and spend the rest of the weekend together in the house.

Francis, however, remembers her as an overweight and pushy girl and hangs up. In order to impress their babysitter, Malcolm and Reese dress, as they rarely do. When they try to impress her at dinner, their plan doesn't work out because Dewey impresses her by dancing in front of her. Since Dewey is having fun all night with her, his brothers are jealous. Even a plan of this to make Dewey less popular with her fails. Later that evening, Patty and Francis talk on the phone together. She suggests they could meet, but he refuses because he still thinks she is overweight. When Patty is dejected afterwards, she cheers Dewey up again. When everyone is lying in bed shortly afterwards, Dewey simulates stomach ache and is now allowed to lie in bed with Patty. To deceive Dewey, his brothers appear outside the window that night and threaten to burn his teddy bear. But Dewey locks the door so that the two of them can no longer enter the house.

Meanwhile, Hal meets his archenemy Keneally, who stole his idea years ago and is now making money with it. Together they fight several times at the event. But when Lois gets too embarrassed, she offers her husband that he can have sex with her if he no longer fights. Hal accepts this and leaves Congress with her.
