Malicious code
Malicious code ( German harmful code ) or malware is a collective term for computer applications that generate undesirable effects, such as Trojan horses , computer viruses or computer worms . Malicious codes are injected into web applications (e.g. as JavaScript code) in order to gain control over online applications (e.g. in the area of online banking). Malicious codes can also be used to attempt to obtain a session cookie that allows a session to be hijacked .
