Vera Vasilyevna Korsakova

Vera Vasilyevna Korsakowa ( Russian Вера Васильевна Корсакова ; nee Semjonowa) (born March 31, 1941 ) is a former athlete from the USSR .

She ran the last official world record over the 80 meter hurdles in 10.2 seconds in Riga on June 16, 1968, and thus a record for eternity. The women have been running the 100 m hurdles since 1969 .

At the 1968 Olympic Games in Mexico City , she was eliminated as fifth in her semifinals with 10.86 seconds. Her best placement in the Soviet championships was third in 1967.

At a height of 1.64 m, she had a competition weight of 56 kg.
