Mamou is the capital of the region and prefecture of the same name in Guinea .

description

Mamou is an important traffic junction (junction of the national road N.2 from the N.1 / N.5) and train station of the planned Trans-Guinea-Railway . The city is home to numerous metal construction companies. In the past Mamou was a center of the Guinean meat industry, the facilities are currently being modernized.
