Management International Review ( MIR for short ) is a business journal from Germany that deals with research articles on international management. It was launched in 1960 and celebrated its 50th year in 2010. The rights to the magazine are held by the Springer Gabler publishing house .
content
All research contributions are submitted to the editorial office and published in English. Before publication, the submitted research contributions are reviewed in a double-blind process . As a rule, six (peer-reviewed) research articles on different aspects of international management are published per issue . Since it was first published in 1960, four to eight issues have appeared a year. If there are more than four issues, there is usually (at least) one Special Issue or, since 2006, a Focussed Issue , each of which contains research articles devoted to a selected aspect of international management.
editorial staff
Klaus Macharzina was the long-time editor from 1980 to 2005. Since 2005 he has been honorary editor of MIR. From 2005 Macharzina's former employees Joachim Wolf and Michael-Jörg Oesterle took over the position of MIR's editors. Since then, the editor-in-chief has changed between Joachim Wolf (2005–2008) and Michael-Jörg Oesterle (2008–2011) every three years.
