Manar Fayyad

Manar Fayyad ( Arabic منار فياض, DMG Manār Fayyāḍ ) is a Jordanian chemist. Her areas of expertise are water and environmental chemistry .

Fayyad received her bachelor's degree from the University of Jordan in 1972 and her master's degree in 1974 . In 1978 she received her doctorate at the University of Bonn with the thesis sulfur-nitrogen and phosphorus compounds as ligands in transition metal complexes .

From 2013 to 2017 she was Vice President and since 2017 she has been President of the state German-Jordanian University (GJU) in Amman .
