The University of Jordan ( Arabic الجامعة الأردنية, DMG al-Ǧāmiʿa al-Urdunniyya ) is a state-supported university in Amman and the largest and oldest in the country.
Faculties
The university is divided into 19 faculties, 8 of them in the natural sciences and mathematics and 11 in the social sciences and arts:
- Medical faculty
- Dental Faculty
- Pharmaceutical Faculty
- Faculty of Health and Nursing
- Faculty of Natural Sciences, divided into five areas:
- Faculty of Agriculture
- Faculty of Engineering and Technology
- King Abdullah II School of Information Technology

- Faculty of Humanitarian and Social Sciences
- Faculty of Sharia ( Islamic Studies )

- Faculty of Art and Design
collaboration
The university has a variety of exchange programs with other universities, including 16 with US universities such as Vanderbilt University and Murray State University . There is a member of the International Association of Universities .
