Mandy Andresen
Mandy Andresen is an Australian singer and musician born as Amanda Andresen in Thirlmere , New South Wales .
Career
Andresen mostly appears as a keyboardist and singer. In the course of her career she used pseudonyms such as Mandy Murkrat or VKS Cattleprod. She began her musical career as a keyboardist and singer in the gothic metal band Lycanthia . For her funeral doom project Murkrat , founded in 2006 , she acts as a singer, keyboardist, guitarist and bassist. Andresen is also responsible for the design of various sound carriers. Since 2007 she has been part of the Death Doom studio project The Slow Death . Around 2008 Andresen founded the drone-doom and dark-ambient project Dust to Dearth with which she released a self-published album. The album was released in 2009 as part of a split album with Lysergene The Death of the Sun via Aesthetic Death Records . The British label also took over the publishing house for the Murkrat albums. As a further project, Andresen founded the epic doom band Crone in 2012 , whose debut was released in 2013 as a cassette via Abyssmal Sound .
