Manfred Sampl (born March 8, 1973 in Sankt Michael im Lungau ) is an Austrian politician ( ÖVP ) and bank manager. Sampl has been a member of the Salzburg state parliament since 2004 .

education and profession

Sampl attended elementary school and music school in St. Michael from 1979 to 1987 and then graduated from the HBLA for alpine agriculture and forestry in origin by 1992 . After graduating from high school in 1992, Sampl worked as a counter clerk at Raiffeisenbank St. Michael until 2000 and also completed an apprenticeship as an agricultural master at the Chamber of Agriculture and Forestry from 1996 to 1999 , which he completed in 1999 with the master’s examination. Between 1999 and 2000 Sampl also worked as a part-time teacher at the Chamber of Agriculture and Forestry. In 2000, Sampl was promoted to the position of authorized signatory and department head at Raiffeisenbank St. Michael, and in 2003 he became managing director. As a result, he attended training as a bank manager from 2004, which he completed in 2005 with the bank manager / manager examination.

politics

Sampl is a member of the ÖAAB , the Austrian Economic Association and the Farmers Association . He is a local councilor in Sankt Michael and was elected regional chairman of the ÖVP Lungau in 1997. In February 2006, he was elected district chairman of the ÖAAB Lungau, and on October 13, 2006 he was also elected as the managing district chairman of the ÖVP Lungau.

Sampl has been a member of the Salzburg state parliament since April 28, 2004. He has been mayor for the ÖVP in St. Michael since the municipal council elections in 2009, after long-term mayor Wolfgang Fanninger announced his retirement at the end of the period. In the event of his election, Sampl wanted to take leave of absence as managing director of Raika. For the 2009 state elections, Sampl was ranked fifth on the ÖVP state list.

Private

Sampl has been married since September 3, 1994 and has a son (* 1993) and a daughter (* 1995). For many years he has been the managing director of the St. Michael Community Hunting Commission and the Speiereck Alpsgenossenschaft and from 1999 to 2004 was district chairman of the Lungau homeland associations (60 member associations).
