Manfred Sickmann

Manfred Sickmann (born July 14, 1946 in Blangenmoor / Dithmarschen district ) is a German politician ( SPD ).

Sickmann attended elementary school, trained as a chemical laboratory technician and then worked in this profession at Condea Chemie GmbH in Brunsbüttel in the areas of research and development. He was also an honorary judge at the 9th Senate of the Lüneburg Higher Administrative Court .

In 1969, Sickmann joined the SPD, where he was deputy district chairman of the Young Socialists in Dithmarschen , deputy chairman of the local association in Brunsbüttel and deputy chairman of the SPD district. He was a member of the Dithmarscher district assembly and the district committee. He was the economic and environmental policy spokesman for the SPD district parliamentary group, a member of the economic and transport committees and the health and environmental committee of the Dithmarschen district. From 1983 to 1996 he was a member of the state parliament of Schleswig-Holstein , where he was chairman of the agricultural working group and agricultural policy spokesman for the SPD parliamentary group and a member of the parliamentary committee. From 1987 he was directly elected in the Dithmarschen-Süd state constituency.
