Manfred Spitznas

Manfred Spitznas (born December 19, 1939 ) is a German ophthalmologist and professor emeritus for ophthalmology.

Life

Until his retirement he taught as a full professor at the University of Bonn . From 1981 to 2002 he was director of the University Eye Clinic in Bonn . He became known u. a. through the development of the binocular indirect ophthalmomicroscope (BIOM).
