Manfred Wettler

Manfred Wettler (born June 13, 1941 in Zurich ) is a German psychologist influenced by Noam Chomsky .

Career

Manfred Wettler studied psychology with a minor in philosophy and sociology at the Albert Ludwig University of Freiburg and the University of Bern . In 1968 he received his doctorate from the University of Bern, and in 1977 he completed his habilitation there. From 1972 to 1977 he was head of the Institute for Semantic and Cognitive Studies in Lugano-Castagnola and at the University of Geneva . From 1977 to 1982 he was professor of psychology at the Colombian National University in Bogotá . Since 1989 he has been professor for cognitive psychology at the University of Paderborn .
