Manikin (CAD model)

A manikin (pronunciation see Model # Pronunciation and Etymology ) is a CAD model of the human being, mainly in the automotive industry , which is used for a wide variety of anthropometric purposes and studies.

The CAD models exist as 3D and 2D data, with which they can be used for spatial examinations and representations on drawings.

Examples of the possible examinations are:

  • Orthopedic reviews
  • Accessibility analyzes
  • Visual analysis of vehicles.
