The Manila Bulletin (also Bulletin ) is the second oldest Filipino daily newspaper . It appears seven days a week with different supplements, the format of the newspaper is the broadsheet format .

history

It was founded on February 2, 1900 in Manila under the name Bulletin Publishing Company . In 1959 it was renamed Bulletin Publishing Corporation . It was last renamed Manila Bulletin publishing Corporation on June 22, 1989 .

Under the government of President Ferdinand Marcos , it functioned from 1972 - like the rest of the press in the Philippines at the time - as a propaganda organ , which ensured its survival during the dictatorship.

The newspaper is owned by the Filipino media mogul Emilio Yap .
