The man was a French measure of volume and can be understood as a basket in the coal trade .

  • 1 man = 1 1/5 hectoliters heaped
  • 1 man = 1 ½ hectoliters leveled
  • Coal measure 1 muid (ton / barrel) = 4 men (does not apply to gypsum )
    • Ratio 12 heaped muid = 15 level hectoliters of hard coal
    • Ratio 1000 kilograms heaped = 1150 kilograms deleted
