The list of the team cadres of the 1st division (chess) 1997/98 contains all players who were used at least once in the Danish 1st division in chess 1997/98 .
SK Sydøstfyn and Århus Skakklub managed with 9 players each, Frederiksberg SF had most of the players play at least one competition, namely 13. A total of 84 players were used, 46 of whom took part in all competitions.
The best individual result was achieved by Esben Ejsing (Espergærde Skakklub) with 6.5 points from 7 games, Lars Schandorff (SK Sydøstfyn) and Peter Heine Nielsen (Gistrup Skakforening) achieved half a point less . With Bo Jacobsen , Hans-Henrik Grand (both Skolernes SK) and Lars Petersen (SK K 41) three players achieved 100%, Jacobsen and Petersen were each used twice, Grand once.
The oldest player of the season was Sejer Holm (* 1939), who played for Frederiksberg Skakforening, and the youngest player was Rasmus Skytte (* 1980), who played for Århus Skakklub .
