Manuel Saber Marroquín

Manuel Saber Marroquín (born May 15, 1914 in San Luis Potosí , † February 28, 1990 ) was a Mexican pianist and composer.

Manuel Saber Marroquín received music lessons from his father since childhood. He traveled as a pianist with the orchestras of Emilio Cantú , Dorita Ceprano , Emilio Cabrera and finally Paco Miller , where he worked with María Victoria . He was mainly active in the field of Mexican folk music and composed numerous boleros, mainly based on texts by Ernesto Cortázar (La Número Cien , Qué te Cuesta , La Torcida) , José Mojica (Fuiste Tu) and Flavio Franyutty (Compréndeme , Desesperación , Frente al Mar) .
