Manuela Martelli

Manuela Abril Martelli Salamovich (born April 16, 1983 in Santiago de Chile ) is a Chilean actress .

Career

Martelli, a daughter of the industrialist Nicolás Martelli , attended Saint George's College in Vitacura . After leaving college in 2002, she studied at the Escuela de Arte de la Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and the Escuela de Teatro of the same university. She completed her studies in 2007.

She became known through the film B-Happy , directed by Gonzalo Justiniano . In Machuca, my friend , directed by Andrés Wood , she embodies Silvana, a girl from a slum in Santiago de Chile who contributes to the family's livelihood by selling flags and cigarettes at demonstrations and who was shot and killed in a raid after the Pinochet coup. For her acting performance in this film, she was honored as best actress at the Festival de Cine de La Habana . She then played in the second season of the series Huaiquimán y Tolosa . She later starred in the film Radio Corazón , in the second version of “ Roberto Artiagoitíal ”, a youngster who loses her virginity before her 18th birthday. She subsequently starred in television series such as Feroz , which was broadcast on Canal 13 from December 2009 to March 2010. Here she embodies a girl who falls in love with a werewolf .
