The company is represented by 25 subsidiaries in 17 European countries.

history

The company, founded in 1966 by André and Jean-Pierre Guichard, was the first of its kind to sell industrial equipment using a catalog. In the early 1970s, Manutan began opening up the European market, opening branches in England (1973 Key Industrial Equipment), Belgium (1974 Manutan) and France (1977 Bott). In the years from 1987 to 1989 branches followed in Italy (Vireco Srl), Germany (Overtoom GmbH), Scandinavia (Witre) and the Netherlands (Overtoom).

In order to keep these branches under a central structure, the holding company Manutan International was founded in 1989 . The company has been listed on the Paris Stock Exchange since 1985. In the third phase of European expansion, the Manutan Group concentrated on the Czech Republic, Switzerland (Fabritec GmbH), England (Euroquipment Ltd.) and Finland (Witre OY).
