José Alberto Percudani (born March 22, 1965 in Bragado, Argentina) is a former Argentine football player .

Football career

Between 1982 and 1988 he played for CA Independiente and won the Copa Libertadores and the 1984 World Cup with the team . He scored the only goal against Liverpool FC in the World Cup final and was also voted Man of the Game.

In 1988 he was brought in by Austria Vienna to replace Toni Polster . In the 1988/89 season he scored 23 goals and was third on the top scorer list. From Atlético Madrid he moved to Universidad Católica in Chile, where he scored the winning goal for the team in the 1991 Copa Chile final. From January to June 1992 he played for Club Atlético Peñarol in Uruguay before returning to Argentina and playing for Estudiantes de La Plata , Almirante Brown and Club Atlético Talleres .

In 1987 he was drafted into the national team to play for the Argentine national team at the Copa America , playing as a striker with Diego Maradona and Claudio Caniggia .
