Bragado is a municipality ( freguesia ) in the Portuguese district ( concelho ) of Vila Pouca de Aguiar . It has 544 inhabitants (as of June 30, 2011).

history

Finds prove the settlement from prehistoric times until the arrival of the Romans , who operated various ore mines in the region (including the Trêsminas gold mine ). The current place was probably repopulated in the 13th century. He was under the order of Christ . From an administrative point of view, it has since been attached to the district of Aguiar da Pena, and since its dissolution in the 19th century it has belonged to the newly created district of Vila Pouca de Aguiar.
