Manzano Amargo is a place with the rank of Comisión de Fomento in the Minas department , in the Neuquén province , Argentina . Manzano Amargo, located in the valley of the Río Neuquén, is one of the northernmost settlements in the province.

Although the region was already settled towards the end of the 19th century , Manzano Amargo was not officially founded until April 21, 1988. According to the 2001 census of the INDEC , Manzano Amargo had 344 inhabitants.

The main branch of the economy is agriculture (cattle breeding). Fishing in the Río Neuquén is of particular tourist interest.
