The Marble Mountains are a mountain range in San Bernardino County in the US state of California .

The mountain range is centrally located in San Bernardino County and thus far away from the coast in the inland southern part of the state. South of the mountain range is the city of Cadiz , north of Amboy . Compared to other mountains in California and along the entire US west coast , the Marble Mountains are relatively low, the highest peak reaching a height of 685 meters. Due to the geographic location, the climate is more like a continental one , whereas snow falls very rarely because of the southern location. Because of its proximity to the Mojave Desert, the area is relatively sparsely populated and desert-like, which is why the landscape is not used much. The region is occasionally the destination of nature lovers, hikers or sports enthusiasts.
