The Marburg Law Review ( MLR ) is a legal journal founded in Marburg in 2008 , which is primarily aimed at law students and trainee lawyers. The magazine would like to make an independent contribution to the promotion of science and teaching, especially at its own university.

organization

The Marburg Law Review is published by the non-profit association Marburg Law Review e. V., which works closely with the Law Faculty of the Philipps University of Marburg . In addition to being the editor of the magazine, the association organizes symposia and lectures at the Philipps University to promote research and teaching. To ensure quality , the journal is overseen by a scientific advisory board made up of lecturers from the university's department. The editorial team is made up of students and former students, so the magazine wants to live up to its own claim to be a magazine “for students by students”. The editorial team is supported by a board of trustees.

Frequency of publication

The first issue of the Marburg Law Review was published in May 2008 at a price of 3 euros. The print run is 750 copies. The journal has the ISSN  1866-4415 . The planned publication cycle is twice a year, with the magazine being distributed directly at the Philipps University of Marburg and across Germany via the Internet. In addition, all universities in Germany receive a free copy, as do various dishes.

content

In terms of content, all relevant subjects of the state examination, but also focus-related subjects, are covered. In the magazine, not only professors and academic staff at the university, but also practitioners publish on topics relevant to training. In addition, students who have distinguished themselves through exceptional academic achievements are given the opportunity to publish seminar papers and exercises or to report on internships or other experiences in the form of short articles.
