Marc Bürki

Marc Bürki (* 1961 ) is a Swiss bank manager . He is one of the founders and has been CEO of Bank Swissquote since 1999 .

education

Bürki studied electrical engineering at EPF Lausanne from 1982 to 1987 and then worked as a telecommunications specialist for the European Space Agency .

Career

In 1996 he and his business partner Paolo Buzzi founded the Swissquote bank, which specializes in online business, and which he then went public with in 2000. In 2001 the company got a banking license.

Further mandates

Bürki has been a member of the ETH Board since 2016 . Bürki is also on the board of the “Fontana Foundation” development organization.
