Solfrid Lerbrekk (2017)

Solfrid Lerbrekk (born November 29, 1990 ) is a Norwegian politician of the Sosialistisk Venstreparti (SV). She has been a member of the Storting since 2017 .

Life

In 2014 Lerbrekk graduated from the University of Stavanger as a mechanical engineer . She then worked at the trade union umbrella organization Landsorganisasjonen i Norge (LO) for the province of Rogaland until 2017 .

Lerbrekk entered the Norwegian national parliament in Storting for the first time in the 2017 general election . She ran as the SV's top candidate in the Rogaland constituency , from where no SV member could move into parliament in the 2013 election. She finally received a compensation mandate and became a member of the labor and social committee. In May 2020, she announced that she did not want to run again for a seat in Storting in the 2021 parliamentary election .
