Jean Brun (cyclist, 1937)
Jean Brun (born December 6, 1937 in Zurich ) is a former cyclist from Switzerland and Swiss champion in cycling .
Athletic career
Brun started cycling in 1954. With the victory in the race around the Rigi in 1959, he managed to qualify for what was then the A-class for amateurs in Switzerland. A year later he became Swiss champion in team pursuit on the track with his club RV Zurich (including Werner Rezzonico ). He was able to defend this title with his foursome in 1960, 1961 and 1962. During this time he mainly competed in track races in Switzerland and neighboring countries. In 1962 he started at the UCI track world championships in team pursuit.
He is not related to the professional driver of the same name, Jean Brun (* 1926).
