Marc Hodel (born November 6, 1970 ) is a Swiss football player and coach . From July 1, 2012 he was coach of FC Kreuzlingen in the 1st League Classic, and since May 2019 he has taken over as coach of FC Wettingen as the successor to Beat Studer . As a player, Hodel was part of the Swiss national football team between 1998 and 2000 .
The defender began his career as a player at FC Baden. In 1992 he moved to FC St. Gallen , from where he moved to FC Zurich after a year . After further stations, he played at Grasshoppers Club Zurich from 1999 to 2003 and ended his playing career in 2005 at FC Wohlen. Marc Hodel was in action for the national team thirteen times between 1998 and 2000.
Private
Marc Hodel was married to the former Miss Switzerland Anita Buri for four years . The two have a son together.
