Marc MacSharry

Marc MacSharry (born July 12, 1973 ) is an Irish politician from the Fianna Fáil .

MacSharry was born in 1973 to the politician Ray MacSharry . He went to school in Sligo and attended Castleknock College in Dublin . From 1991 to 1994 he worked as a customer advisor at the Irish Permanent Building Society . MacSharry then worked from 1994 to 2000 as a sales manager or managing director for Celtic Foods Trading House Limited . From 2000 to 2005 he was CEO of the Sligo Chamber of Commerce .

In 2002 MacSharry was first elected for the Fianna Fáil in the Seanad Éireann . In 2007 he was re-elected.

MacSharry is married and has two children, a son and a daughter. In addition to his political activities, MacSharry runs his own real estate office, Marc Mac Sharry Properties , in Sligo.
