Marc Anthony Pelosi (born June 17, 1994 in Bad Säckingen ) is an American football player who is mostly used as a midfielder . He is currently under contract with the San José Earthquakes .

Career

Youth and amateur football

Pelosi was born in Bad Säckingen , but immigrated to the USA with his parents at a young age . There he played for a long time with De Anza Force, a club from the San Francisco Bay Area . In 2011 he moved to Europe in the youth department of Liverpool FC . There he suffered an injury in a game in 2013 that banned him from playing for over a year. Although he renewed his contract during his injury, he was released in early 2015.

Club career

On July 17, 2015, Pelosi signed a contract with the San José Earthquakes . He made his competitive debut on July 26, 2015 in the 3-1 defeat against the Vancouver Whitecaps .

National team

Pelosi represented the USA in several youth teams and led the U-17 team as captain in the 2011 U-17 World Cup . On January 9, 2015, he was appointed to the senior national team for the first time, but has not yet been used there.
