Marc Tarabella
Marc Tarabella (born March 11, 1963 in Ougrée ) is a Belgian politician ( Parti Socialiste ).
Life
Tarabella, son of immigrants from Tuscany , is mayor of the municipality of Anthisnes in the province of Liège . In 2004 he was elected to the European Parliament . In 2007, however, he resigned this mandate in order to become Walloon Minister for Education and Youth. In 2009 he moved back to the European Parliament.
Activities in the EU Parliament from 2009 to 2014.
Member of the Committee on Agriculture and Rural Development, the Committee on Women's Rights and Gender Equality, the Delegation for Relations with the Countries of Southeast Asia and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) and the Delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of Union for the Mediterranean.
Tarabella is a substitute on the Committee on the Internal Market and Consumer Protection, in the Delegation for relations with the United States and in the Delegation to the Euro-Latin American Parliamentary Assembly.
