Marcelo Larrondo , full name Marcelo Alejandro Larrondo Páez , (born August 16, 1988 in Tunuyán , Argentina ) is a Chilean football player .

Career

Larrondo began his career in his native Argentina with River Plate . For the 2007/08 season he was included in the professional squad, but used in any league game for River Plate. In the same year he moved to the Uruguayan second division club Atlético Progreso . On September 1, 2008, AC Siena announced the attacker's loan commitment. The Tuscans were also guaranteed a purchase option. The Argentine spent his first season in Siena in the youth department.

For the 2009/10 season he was accepted into the first team, for which Larrondo made his debut on November 1, 2009 in the home game against Lazio Rome , when he came on a few minutes before the end of the game for Paul Codrea . He scored his first goal in Serie A on his seventh appearance on March 21, 2010 against FC Bologna , when he scored the only goal of the game after 10 minutes.

He made a total of 59 league games for Siena and scored three goals. He was last used there on December 16, 2012 in the game against Fiorentina. From February 2013 at the latest, he was part of the squad of the last competitive opponent and by the end of the 2013/14 season had played seven first division matches, in which he hit the opposing goal twice. The 2013/14 season and beyond until at least the end of November 2014, he was a player for Turin FC , for whom he was on the pitch ten times in the league and scored one goal. During that season, he returned to Argentina on loan in January 2015 and continued his career at CA Tigre . He played in 13 top division games and scored three goals. Rosario Central has been his employer since July 2015 . There he played 16 first division games (ten goals) and four games (no goal) in the Copa Argentina and one encounter (one goal) in the Copa Libertadores 2016 . In July 2016, he initially moved to Montreal Impact . Twelve days later he was transferred to River Plate, for which he has played two top division games (no goal) since then (as of September 25, 2016).
