Marcin Krzysztof Kuźba (born April 15, 1977 in Tomaszów Mazowiecki , Poland ) is a former Polish football player .

Club career

Kuźba started his professional career with the Polish record champion Górnik Zabrze . As an 18-year-old, he played 26 games and scored 8 goals in his first professional season (1995/1996). After two more strong seasons for Górnik Zabrze, he moved to France to AJ Auxerre in 1998 . However, the young striker could not convince in Auxerre and was sold to the Swiss club Lausanne-Sports at the end of the season . In Switzerland he was able to build on old times and scored 35 goals in 70 games for the Swiss. From 2001 to 2002 Kuźba played again in France. This time at AS Saint-Étienne . His goal yield (3 goals in 26 games) was again not convincing, so that at the end of 2002 he moved back to Poland to Wisła Kraków . In the 2002/2003 season he scored 21 goals in 27 games for Kraków and was third in the scorers list (behind Stanko Svitlica with 24 goals and Maciej Żurawski with 22 goals). From 2003 to 2004 he played for Olympiacos in Greece . However, he was followed by bad luck with injuries and only played nine games in which he scored five goals. After returning to Krakow , he did not get beyond the role of reservist and ended his career in 2007 after a brief stint with Górnik Zabrze.

National team

Marcin Kuźba played a total of 6 games (2 goals) for the Polish national soccer team . However, he never played at a World Cup or European Championship.
