Marcin Leopolita
Marcin Leopolita ( Martinus Leopolita (nus) , also called Marcin ze Lwowa , Marcin Lwowczyk , Marcin Lwówczyk ; * around 1540 in Lemberg ; † 1589 ibid) was a Polish composer.
Little more is known about Leopolita's living conditions than that he was mentioned in 1560 as the court composer of King Zygmunt II August in Krakow. An Easter mass on Polish hymns and four five-part motets have come down to us from him.
