Auloh is a village and part of the municipality of the independent city of Landshut in Lower Bavaria . It belongs to the Frauenberg district .

Auloh is located in the east of Landshut on the right of the Isar, which is dammed in this area, on the Altheim reservoir.

history

The farming village of Auloh belonged in the Duchy of Bavaria to the Obermannschaft Frauenberg and to the Adlkofen office . Auloh became part of the newly founded tax district Frauenberg in 1808, and from 1818 the municipality of the same name. In 1880 a large military training area for the 2nd Heavy Rider Regiment of the Bavarian Army was created near Auloh . In the 1930s, a glider airfield was set up in Ochsenau near Altloh, and other, particularly military, systems followed. The Altheim reservoir near Auloh was created when the Altheim power plant opened in 1951. After the Second World War, the Protestant Gnadenkirche (Vicariate Auloh) was founded in Auloh by numerous expellees. The Catholic parish church dedicated to St. Vinzenz von Paul , was created in 1961. On August 1, 1974, the community of Frauenberg with Auloh was incorporated into the independent city of Landshut as part of the regional reform in Bavaria . In 1987 Frauenberg had 1,355 inhabitants. The " former training site Landshut with Isarleite " south of Auloh was designated as a nature reserve on October 26, 2001. In the same year, the Catholic diocesan bishop Manfred Müller raised the parish of St. Vincent von Paul in Auloh to its own parish .
