Achdorf is a district of the independent city of Landshut in Lower Bavaria . Achdorf formed an independent community until 1928.
location
The district is located in the southwest of Landshut, directly south of the Isar . The Roßbach coming from the south flows through the village and flows into the Isar at the northern end.
history
The place was mentioned for the first time in 1140. The local noble family of Achdorfer ruled here until Andreas Achdorfer and his sister Dorothea sold their knightly seat in 1395 to the dukes Stephan , Friedrich and Johann . Achdorf was now a ducal table estate directly under the ducal Kastner before rent master Stephan Schleich bought the Hofmark around 1583 . The owners of the Hofmark were successively the Schleich, Planck, Dürnitz, Hagen, Arco and Leyden. In the 19th century, the Hofmark was followed by the Count of Leydensche Patrimonial Court 2nd class Achdorf, which existed until 1848.
At the beginning of the 19th century, Achdorf was a street village separated from the urban area along today's Bachstraße and the Rossbach stream that ran alongside it. In earlier years the district was considered a workers' settlement. This has changed since the 1970s when new building areas were designated.
The municipality of Achdorf emerged from the tax district of the same name in 1818. At the formerly independent municipality were next to the main town of the desert Aign and the hamlet Klausberg and Metz valley. On April 1, 1928, it was incorporated into Landshut together with the Berg community .
