history
Achdorf was first mentioned in a document in 1140 as the seat of the noble Achdorfer family , who owned a moated castle here on the site of today's castle. In 1395 Andreas Achdorfer and his wife Dorathea sold their ancestral home to Duke Friedrich the Wise of Bavaria-Landshut . Achdorf was subordinate to the ducal Kastner in the following period until the Hofmark was sold in 1573. The owners in the following years were successively the noble families Schleich, Planck, Dürnitz, Hagen, Arco and Leyden. The Hofmark was dissolved in the early 19th century, and the Count of Leydensche Patrimonial Court II. Class Achdorf existed until 1848 .
In 1961 the farm was transferred to the Schmid Limonaden family, who restored it to its present form. It has been home to the Fritz Müller auction house since the 2000s.
The historic Hofmark Achdorf with castle, noble seat and church is depicted on the altar sheet of the old parish church of St. Margaret. The illustration shows the structural condition in the middle of the 18th century.
description
Today's castle is a stately two-storey, two-winged hipped roof building from the first half of the 18th century. The outbuildings form a third wing. The former moat was leveled a long time ago.
The castle complex also includes the Ruffinischlösschen , a former noble residence built by the Planck family.
