The former Palais Pettenkofer (Schirmgasse 264) is a citizen's palace in the eastern old town of Landshut . It was built at the beginning of the 17th century in Schirmgasse, not far from Martinskirche . Presumably the scholar Eberhard Adolph von Muggenthal , who owned the house between 1626 and 1655, was also the builder. Presumably it was built around 1626.

The palace is a stately, three-story building with six window axes. The building received its magnificent rococo facade around 1770 under Johann Wilhelm von Pettenkofer zu Bruckberg . Pettenkofer had a coat of arms affixed over the portal, which testifies to his marriage to the noble Kammerloher from Irnsing .

In 1870 the palace was first passed into civil ownership. An inn, the Hofbräuhaus Landshut, was built in the building . An Italian restaurant was later housed there.
