Marcin Zając (born May 19, 1975 in Łódź ) is a former Polish football player .

Club career

The midfielder began his career at Start Łódź and moved to Widzew Łódź in 1996 . At Widzew Łódź he played 124 games in the Ekstraklasa , in which he scored 17 times. In 1997 he was Polish champion with Widzew and played with the club in the 1996/1997 Champions League. In 2002 he moved to Groclin Grodzisk , where he was regularly employed. With the Provinklub he won the Polish Cup in 2005. He then moved to Lech Posen in 2006 . Here he played two successful seasons before he was put on the bench by coach Franciszek Smuda in 2007/2008 . For this reason he changed employers in 2008 and played for Ruch Chorzów . In 2012 and 2015/16 there were two positions at the amateur clubs Sorento Zadębie Skierniewice and Widok Skierniewice before he ended his career.

National team

Marcin Zając made his debut on September 24, 1997 in a friendly against Lithuania (2-0) in Olsztyn in the Polish national team. From 1997 to 2005 he played eleven games for Poland . However, he never took part in a World Cup or European Championship.
