Marco Antonio Ruiz García (born July 12, 1969 in Tampico , Tamaulipas ), also known by the nickname Chima , is a former Mexican football player who played mainly in midfield .

Life

Marco Antonio Ruiz began his career as a professional footballer immediately after the 1986 FIFA World Cup in his own country at his home club Tampico-Madero FC , for which he worked for four years. In the summer of 1990 he moved to the Tigres de la UANL , where he spent most of his active career and in whose ranks he also ended his active career in 2004. In between he spent a season (1992/93) for Gallos Blancos Querétaro and three and a half years (mid-1998 to late 2001) for Chivas Guadalajara .

National team

In the period between September 20, 2000 (2-0 against Ecuador) and June 20, 2001 (1: 3 against Honduras), Ruiz completed a total of 16 international appearances for the Mexican national team , in which he (right in the first game to 2-0 Final score) a hit succeeded.
