from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Marco Lochmahr (born December 9, 1987 in Illingen ) is a German fistball player .

During his school days, Marco Lochmahr from Illingen in Württemberg became the captain of both the club and the junior national team. As a setter for TV Vaihingen / Enz , he won the German championship in the hall and in the field in 2008. Lochmahr also became U18 world champion (2006) and U21 European champion (2006, 2007, 2008). At the DM finals in March 2008 in Aschaffenburg, a jury named him the best setter. Lochmahr is part of the German national team, but was not nominated for the World Cup in August 2007 in Oldenburg and the surrounding area after only one international match . An injury to his hand that he sustained during the final course stood in the way of a nomination for the Men's European Championship 2008 in Stuttgart.

In 2007 Lochmahr obtained his Abitur at the Gymnasium in Mühlacker . Then he began studying mechanical engineering at the University of Karlsruhe .

The then coach of the German juniors, Olaf Neuenfeld , became aware of Marco Lochmahr at the finals in Coburg in spring 2005 . In an interview with the Pforzheimer Zeitung (February 2007), Neuenfeld, meanwhile national coach for men, praised the attitude and vision of the young player from Vaihingen / Enz. Marco Lochmahr is involved in the club as a coach of the women (2nd Bundesliga) and as a supervisor for the C-youth. He has a brother (Ingo) who is one year younger than him, who plays in the same club and was also a member of the German junior team. Father Klaus Lochmahr (NLV Vaihingen) was once a fixture in the first division.
