Marcus Acilius Alexander

Marcus Acilius Alexander was a member of the Roman knighthood ( Eques ) living in the 2nd century AD .

A military diploma dated April 2, 134, shows that Alexander 134 was in command of a Cohors I Claudia Sugambrorum , which was stationed in the province of Moesia inferior at that time . Alexander was from Palmyra .

Remarks

  1. There were two units with this designation (see Cohors I Claudia Sugambrorum ). Which unit Alexander commanded is disputed.
