Marcus Ulpius Attianus

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Marcus Ulpius Attianus was a member of the Roman knighthood ( Eques ) living in the 2nd century AD .

Two military diplomas , dated June 1, 125 and August 20, 127, prove that Attianus was from 125 to 127 commander of the Ala I Flavia Gaetulorum , which at that time was stationed in the province of Moesia inferior .

Attianus came from Rome. The leadership of the Ala was probably his third military command within the Tres militiae .
