Marcus Ziegler (born August 10, 1973 ) is a former German soccer player .

He started playing soccer at SGV Murr before moving to the VfB Stuttgart junior team in 1988 . In the summer of 1992 he was part of the DFB's squad for the U-18 European Championship in 1992 in Germany.

For the 1992/93 season he moved up to the VfB professional squad and played a total of eight Bundesliga games by 1996. After a brief stint at the Norwegian first division club Strømsgodset IF , he played at SSV Ulm 1846 , SSV Reutlingen 05 and VfR Mannheim in the Regionalliga. After the end of his active career, Marcus Ziegler became a coach at his home club SGV Murr, who played in the regional league and for which he also played as a player in the 2008/09 season.
