Marek Piechocki (* 1961) is a Polish entrepreneur. He is one of the richest Poles. His fortune was estimated at around 400 million euros in the yearly updated list of the rich in the Polish edition of Forbes magazine in 2013.

Life

Piechocki studied at the Technical University of Gdansk . From 1988 to 1990 he worked in an electrical engineering company. From 1991 he worked for a small trading company ( Przedsiębiorstwo Handlowe ETA sc ) as deputy sales manager. At the same time, he and his college friend Jerzy Lubianiec had been running their own business ( PH Mistral sc ) in Gdansk since 1990 , which mainly consisted of importing cheap T-shirts from China. Based on this activity, the company LPP SA was founded in 1995 , and Piechocki has been its managing director since September 4th, 1995. He listed LPP SA on November 15, 2000 on the Warsaw Stock Exchange . Piechocki is also chairman of the supervisory board and shareholder of LPP Tex SA and managing director of Tora Sp. Z oo. He is also the owner of a 30,000 square meter logistics center in Pruszcz Gdański .

The LPP SA , one of the largest textile companies in Poland, approximately operates 600 stores in Poland and more about 150 in Russia, Ukraine and Baltic countries. Products designed in Poland (Gdansk and Krakow) and manufactured in Asia are sold under the brands “ Reserved ”, “House”, “Mohito”, “Cropp”, “Sinsay”, “Tallinder” or “Promostars”.
