Margarete Schrader Prize

The Margarete Schrader Prize for Literature from the University of Paderborn is intended as an award for authors "who were born in Westphalia and / or who spent a phase that was decisive for their development in this region."

This literature prize was donated by the Paderborn writer Margarete Schrader (1914–2001), who left the funds for the university prize in her will. It is awarded approximately every three to four years and is endowed with 8,000 euros (as of 2020).
