Margarita Matulian ( Armenian Մարգարիտա Մատուլյան, born June 7, 1985 in Yerevan ) is an Armenian artist and sculptor .

Live and act

Margarita Matulian was born in Yerevan ( Armenia ) into a family of artists. She is the daughter of the painter Tigran Matulian. After finishing school, she graduated from the State Art Academy in Yerevan from 2002 to 2007 . She has been participating in exhibitions regularly since 2006, and has been a member of the Armenian Artists Association since 2010. Margarita Matulian is a lecturer in sculpture at the Institute for Fine Arts. Her artistic work is represented by the Aramé Art Gallery in Yerevan.

Matulian works mainly figuratively in bronze and copper as well as in paper . Her paper sculptures are an independent part of her artistic work. She initially chose paper to facilitate the preparatory work and sketches for her metallic works of art. This gave rise to a particular fascination and artistic interest in paper sculptures, to which she also devotes her own exhibitions.
