Life

Bruns worked full-time in church pastoral care for about 20 years . She married in 2000 and began training as an animal psychologist , focusing on horses and donkeys. Today she lives under her married name Margot Bruns in Gestratz in the Allgäu and works as a freelance animal psychologist in her "Horse & Donkey Station".

In 1981 she published her first volume of poetry “Pick the Day” with photographs by Hermann Steigert , followed in 1982 by the second with the name “Dare to dream”, and in 1984 “The desert liberated”. “Pick the Day” was published in 1982 in Swedish and 1983 in Finnish. These and other volumes of poetry have since appeared in dozens of editions and licensed editions in German and in translations in Swedish, Finnish and Dutch. In 1994 Dieter Schulte-Bunert set six poems from “Wage zu Träume” to music for voice and piano.

In 2003 and 2004 selections of her poems were published in a translation into Persian with great success in Iran.
